The scavenger hunt was fun and enabled me to have a starting point in what to look for. And reviewing it before hand did open up some dialogue which was helpful. However, I do wish there would've been more suggestions or tips and tricks on setting up the shots. For instance maybe ideas on different angles, composition etc for setting up the shots. We were kind of set free to explore but I could've done that at my own.
Great event. Exceeded my expectations. Street photography gave me the opportunity to use my 50mm. Lots of photo subjects. Elissa provided us with some foundation principles, had us practice and gave suggestions on photo opportunities (i.e. dogs, depth of field, color and textures). She was available to answer questions, provide advice and help with improving participants' efforts. Good morning for picture taking.
It was a fun, learning experience.

I took this session as I wanted to learn the core features of my camera and the key components I needed to understand in order to move forward with photography! Ivette, nailed it! I walked away from the class with knowledge and hands on use of these features which allowed me to implement after class. Getting to know ISO, Shutter Speed and Aperture! Would totally recommend for the newbie seeking clarity as leaning your camera becomes overwhelming! Thanks Ivette, much appreciated!
I found the class to be very informative and helpful. Elissa was fantastic and so knowledgeable. I look forward to getting to know my camera better and taking future classes. Thank you for proving such a wonderful resource.
Elissa was a great instructor and provided helpful skills and tips. She was patient and did a bit of 1-1 with people which was fantastic!

On the morning on March 26th I woke up and looked out at the icy dream world that was out my window after the ice/snow storm we had gotten the day before. I knew I had to get out to take pictures. I ended up on a back farm road and made my way to the the north end of the Tomhannock Reservoir. As soon as I saw the fog coming off the way combined with the icy sparkle on the trees by the spillway, I pulled over and just sat in the snow taking pictures. Image was shot on my Canon 6D Mark II wit

The Oak Orchard lighthouse sites at the end of the Oak Orchard River where it enters in to Lake Ontario. This is one of my favorite places to come and watch the sunsets. When planning my trip home to visit I knew the full moon would be happening. I decided to visit my favorite place from the opposite side from the Oak Orchard State Park Marina. Picture was taken 2/23/2024, shot on my canon 6d mark ii with a sigma 150-600mm at 170mm f13, iso 125, 1/640, edited in photoshop

Was in buffalo to shoot a concert. Did some exploring near the General Mills plant and on my way across the bridge I noticed this opportunity for a photo. 30 min wait for two cars to pass in both directions. 10sec exposure using the retainer wall to hold the camera to.

I enjoy taking photos that look as if they are leading somewhere and that?s what inspired me to take a photo like this. I took this in shutter priority mode with the ISO set to 200 and shutter speed was 1/250. I also tweaked the lighting, texture and clarity to make it stand out.

Dearing the eclipse of 2017 my family and I sat in our backyard here in WA to watch the 93 totality with our eclipse glasses. With my homemade solar filter attached to my camera, I took a series of photos of the sun during the eclipse. After processing my sun photos, I was disappointed to see that the moon only showed up as a black hole and not its proper form. I am an avid shooter of Astro photography and have several photos of the moon taken from my backyard and multiple other locations. I

I took this image on Nov. 2, 2021 at 7 am on Nov. 2, 2001 at 7 am. As I was driving around the Cove I came upon this Buck as I came up over a rise. I had a feeling that he was about to cross the road. My hunch was right. He crossed one fence and eventually crossed the other one. I was ready for his movement. I took a series over shots. It was very exciting.Canon EF 100-400 f4.5 - 5.6L ISO 4,000 f8 1/200s

Canon EOS 800DEF 75-300 f/4-5.675mm1/640F4.5ISO 200I was out practicing my technique. Had spent a little while chasing squirrels around the park. This took me to an area of the park I had not been in. The way these two tulips were complete opposites and yet seem to lean on each other drew my attention to them.
